The casa - now pink as seen above - is nestled in greenery and kindness. El Cafetal means the coffee plantation. Martha used to dry the grains on the ground as seen in the large picture below. Nowadays, she has less time for that and more to prepare food for her guests.
The lovely couple now rents two air-conditioned bedrooms, each with two double beds and an ensuite private bathroom.
Small living room at the entrance with windows opening to the lovely grounds where coffee dries and flowers grow. Typical and abundant Cuban cuisine.
" Wonderful garden with fruit and coffee trees. You can taste their own home-grown coffee and can enjoy the calm and enchantment in natural surroundings, right by the tobacco grower next grower next door (photo below).
Marta and Amador's heart is as generous as their dinner portions and their grapefruit tree.
Following Sept 08's hurricane, their casa was damaged (like many in town) but after long and hard work, they have rebuilt and rearranged the building and the grounds.
Rates : 25cuc for 4 persons max per bedroom

"The owner, Marta, is a lovely person and welcomes you as if you were part of the family.
I would say that in some way she adopted my little family and fell in love with my daughter! She looked after us in every possible way, always trying to make our comfort her objective.
Marta prepares the best breakfast and dinner - also tasty sandwiches during the day if you chill around home and we always had a special meal prepared for our daughter at lunch time. Juices and coffee are offered several times during the day.
Marta also managed to find us the best guide for the horse riding tour to the mogotes and cave : Chino filled our 4-hour trip with tales from his life, his family, his country, taking care of our baby who eventually slept on the way back home!
