The couple's casa is an old colonial house on a quiet street of the popular El Tivoli area.
The room for rent is private and on the first floor : it has a double bed, aircon, fan, fridge, hot water and a private bathroom.; also its own private terrace as well as a rooftop terrace with views over the old city and the harbour. Casa Colonial Teresa is six minutes from the famous 'Escalinata' de Padre Pico. The center is a 10 -15 minute walk. A 6 cuc taxi fare from the train station or the bus terminal. From the airport about 11 cuc. Owners are a Cuban - German married couple; Teresa was born and raised in Santiago de Cuba. As host, Teresa cooks, provides laundry service, arranges taxi services, and can assist visitors with just about any Cuban travel arrangement. Heiko, a professional German language instructor, divides his time between a teaching post in Germany and Cuba. Hosts live alone, with Teresa's close and large extended family nearby. Rates: 20-25cuc per bedroom per night; food services; laundry service. Garage available; absolute privacy and safety guaranteed. |
