 Mathilde and Felix have temporarily asked their friends Wilfredo and Gisela to welcome you into their home. They provide loads of information beforehand to prepare you for your visit to Trinidad. Casa Tamargo must be one of the best casas in the whole of Cuba! The location in Trinidad is unbeatable and the atmosphere and personality of the place and hosts is welcoming and relaxed.  |
 CASA TAMARGO Another of those fabulous Trinidad colonials and one of our favorites on the island, built in 1800, located in the center of the city just meters from the main tour agencies. The spacious living room and library furniture are originals from the era, the dining room with large table where breakfast and dinner are offered to customers who will enjoy the excellent cuisine of Xiomara, the casa cook. Wilfredo and Gisela are presently managing the house with her help. Along the courtyard garden is the first of three ac bedrooms, each with ensuite, this one with a possible third bed its own ensuite bathroom; guests can use a shaded corner of the patio. At the end of the patio, are two more ac bedrooms with ensuites : these may use their own terrace one floor above where a swing, parasol and lounge chairs are for their enjoyment, even a panoramic view of the city, resting, sunbathing and cocktails. The managing couple manages well in English. The focus of the casa is the courtyard and veranda. Loads of patio furniture here to relax on, but most guests end up talking and exchanging stories around the gigantic breakfast / dinner table  |
 Cette coloniale bien centrée entre la Plaza Mayor et le terminus Viazul, s'ouvre sur un grand salon meublé d'objets antiques dont certains originaux de 1800. |
Une salle à diner à aire ouverte puis un vaste patio où la clientèle peut jouir des recettes de la dueña préparées par une aide aux grands talents culinaires.
Le long du patio soleil-ombre, une grande chambre à trois lits qui utilise le petit coin ombragé fleuri du patio et au fond, à l'écart de la rumeur de la rue se trouvent les deux autres chambres modernes, climatisées avec salles de bain privées toutes rénovées ou repeintes récemment. Au-dessus des chambres se trouve une terrasse ensoleillée avec de nouvelles transats, parasols et vues à volonté. Les hotes temporaire Wilfredo et Gisela sont charmants et attentifs. |

« Possibilité de laisser sa voiture garée dans la rue d'à coté, surveillée pour 2 CUC/ jour (prix habituels). De plus (et non négligeable!), Felix et Matilda paraissent très sérieux dans leur réservation : nous avions réservé par mail quelques semaines avant de partir, nous avons reçu confirmation très rapidement avec plan détaillé pour se rendre à la casa et même photo de Felix et Matilda de manière à pouvoir les reconnaitre et à ne pas se faire avoir par les rabatteurs!  CASA TAMARGO Matilde Echeverria y Felix Tamargo Casa Colonial construida en 1800, situada en el centro de la ciudad a pocos metros de la terminal del Bus y La Plaza Mayor. La amplia sala y la biblioteca conservan muebles y objetos de la época, el comedor con su gran mesa donde se ofertan desayunos y cenas, los clientes disfrutan de la excelente cocina de Xiomara, Gisela y Wilfredo. Alrededor del patio-jardín se encuentras tres habitaciones climatizadas y con baños privados; una con tres camas y baño privado utiliza un rincon del patio con flores y sombra. Al final del patio, hay dos otras bellas habitaciones cada una con baño privado tambien; huespedes de esas pueden disfrutar una granda terraza con parasol, sillon y grandes sillas y una vista panorámica de la ciudad, descansar, solearse. |
